Thanksgiving and heading into the holidays can be a stressful time for many already struggling to put meals on their tables. The Kansas Food Bank believes that everyone deserves to have a meal, and the holidays are no exception. If you are needing a little extra help this November and December, use the resource guide below created by the Kansas Food Bank.

You can also always visit kansasfoodsource.org and click on the county you live in to find a partner pantry near you. Be sure to double check or call before you visit in case the pantry is operating on special holiday hours this fall & winter.

The Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) is currently accepting applications for the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) for the 2026 season. Here are the key details for applicants:
Application Period: January 20, 2026, to March 31, 2026, at 5 p.m.

Eligibility: Households must have an adult at the address responsible for the heating costs and be at or below 150% of the federal poverty level.

Application Method: Applications can be submitted online through the DCF Self-Service Portal or at local DCF offices.
